Mongolian Judoka Wins 2025 IBSA World Judo Championships

/MONTSAME/. At the 2025 IBSA World Judo Championships held in Astana, the
Republic of Kazakhstan, Mongolian judokas claimed one gold, one silver, and two
bronze medals.
Specifically, in the women’s J1 -70
kg category, International Master Turuunaa Lkhaijav won the gold medal. She
previously placed fifth at the Paris Paralympic Games, earned bronze medals at
the Incheon Asian Games and the Baku Grand Prix, and won silver at the 2022
World Championships.
In the men’s J1 -95 kg division, International
Master D. Ganbat reached the final and secured the silver medal. Additionally, B.
Bat-Erdene in the men’s J1 -70 kg category and T. Suvd-Erdene in the women’s 52
kg category each won bronze medals.
Furthermore, B. Sukhbat (J1 -70
kg), L. Erdenebileg (J1 -95 kg), and E. Davaadagva (J2 -81 kg) all finished in fifth
place. The Mongolian team also placed in the team competition.
Mongolia participated in this year’s championships with a seven-judoka team led by Kh. Chinzorig, First Vice President of the Mongolian Para Judo Association, under the guidance of national team head coach A. Munkhbat and coach S. Yadamjargal. All athletes competed for medals.
