Young Photographer B. Jamiyandorj’s "Janraisig" Wins Grand Prize

Ulaanbaatar, April 28, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The first competition for young photographers and photography enthusiasts announced its winners.
Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth of Mongolia, in collaboration with the United Association of Mongolian Photographers, organized the competition for young photographers and photography amateurs aged 15-34. The goal of the competition was to pass down the traditions of Mongolian history, society, and culture, provide young photographers an opportunity to explore their creativity, and help build a photo album. The competition received around 1,000 photo submissions, from which eight were selected as standouts.
The photograph "Janraisig,” taken by B. Jamiyandorj from Ulaanbaatar, was selected as the grand prize winner. Other outstanding photographs include “Flood of the Kherlen River” taken by A. Ankhbayar from Dornod aimag (East region), “Welcome to My Ger" taken by B. Burenbaatar from Selenge aimag (Central Region), “Friends" by B. Erdenebat from Khuvsgul aimag (North Region), “Pure Heart” by A. Ahjol from Bayan-Ulgii aimag (West Region) “Palm of the Sun” by E. Batkhuu from the Arkhangai aimag (Khangai Region), "Lifestyle-2” by E. Munkhchuluun from Dundgobi (Gobi Region), and “Nomad” by B. Turbat from Ulaanbaatar.
