Today, President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga received Dr. Gerhard Wahlers, Deputy Secretary-General and Head of the European and International Cooperation Department of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, who is paying a working visit to Mongolia. The Konrad Adenauer Foundation opened its office in Mongolia in 1993, and this year marks the 25th anniversary of bilateral cooperation.

In the first 7 months of 2018, Mongolia traded with 143 countries from all over the world and total trade turnover reached USD 7.4 billion, where exports was USD 4.1 billion and imports was USD 3.3 billion.

By August 1, 2018, 86.0% of horse drawn reapers, 91.0% of horse rakes, 92.3% of rake of tractors, 93.0% of binders, 93.4% of reaper of tractors and 93.9% of wheel tractors are ready to hay work.

Mining and quarrying gross output increases by 23.9 percent
In the first 7 months of 2018, the gross industrial output reached MNT 8.7 trillion, showing an increase of MNT 1.7 trillion (24.6%) from the same period of the previous year. This increase was mainly due to an increase of mining and quarrying gross output by MNT 1.2 trillion (23.9%) of which mining of coal by MNT 753.8 billion (53.8%) and mining of metal ores by MNT 334.5 (11.0%) billion.
