August temperatures to remain cool

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Rain with thunder and lightning is expected in areas of western aimags and in western parts of central aimags on August 23, in areas of western and central aimags and in western parts of gobi aimags on August 24, in some areas of central, gobi and eastern aimags on August 25, and in areas of central and eastern aimags on August 26.
Wind will get stronger in western half of the country on August 23 and in areas of gobi region on August 24, reaching 14-16 m/s.
The temperature drop is expected in areas of western and central aimags on August 24 and in northern parts of the country on August 25-26.
In the depression of Darkhad, in mountainous areas of Altai, Khangai, Khuvsgul and Khentii, in the basins of Ider and Tes rivers, the nighttime temperature will be +3 to +8 degrees Celsius and the daytime temperature will be +15 to +20 degrees Celsius.
The daily highs will hit +33 degrees Celsius in gobi region, whereas the nighttime temperature will be +14 to + 19 degrees Celsius.
Other areas will get up to +8 degrees Celsius and it will further increase to +13 degrees Celsius. The areas will have cooler nights between +8 and +13 degrees Celsius.
