NEMA vice chairman talks about Dzud, in Thailand

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Vice chairman of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Colonel Ts.Ganzorig has taken part in the Asian Conference of Disaster Reduction (ACDR2016), held in Phuket of Thailand on February 25-29.

The event has been organized by the Government of Thailand (Ministry of Interior), Government of Japan (Cabinet Office), United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR) and Asian Disaster Reduction Center (ADRC). Mr Ganzorig gave presentation about disaster of dzud that often occurs in wintertime Mongolia.

The event attracted 96 delegates from 32 member and consulting countries and international and regional organizations.

The NEMA Vice chairman also discussed with Masanori Hamada about organizing the ACDR2017 in Mongolia.
