International Data Corporation’s (IDC) IDC Day Roadshow themed 'On the way to digital transformation' opened on wednesday in Ulaanbaatar at the Kempinski Hotel Khan Palace, as a part of an international roadshow.
IDC has offices in over 60 countries around the world, and its Kazakhstan office covers Central Asian countries - Mongolia and Azerbaijan. "This is the very first IDC Day Roadshow in Mongolia, and we've been talking about launching an event in Mongolia for about 2-3 years", said IDC's Regional Manager Mr Andrew Beklemishev who delivered an opening speech.
"The CIOs /Chief information officer/ from Mongolia were visiting our other events in the region such as the CIO Summit, and they were asking us to bring our global ICT market intelligence and expertise to Mongolia so as to reach a wider audience here", Mr Beklemishev explains how the annual Roadshow has come to Mongolia at last.
"Opening an office in Mongolia is absolutely possible", he said. According to him, most likely, IDC analysts will have their first trip to Mongolia to meet with the local IT companies later this year.
