Border ports to close on May 1
Mongolia-China border checkpoints will be off on May 1. This day is celebrated as the International Workers’Day in China. A decision to close the border checkpoints for this day has been made. However, international air and rail travels will be conducted on usual schedules.

Umnugobi aimag “to be relocated”
Emergency workers from Umnugobi aimag in cooperation with the National Emergency Management Agency of Mongolia will relocate the city of Dalanzadgad, provincial center of Umnugobi aimag. This is the preparation for the “Gobi Wolf” international disaster response exercise which will be held on May 04.

Khanbogd soum of Umnugobi aimag now has drinking water facility
“Oyu Tolgoi” LLC has built a bulk water facility in Khanbogd soum of Umnugobi aimag, which will provide safe, clean drinking water to Khanbogd with a 6.6km network of pipeline distributing water across the town. The facility will support the future development of Khanbogd soum by supplying water to over 13,000 residents and has the potential to be further expanded to ensure water consumption of 35 thousand citizens in the future.

EU project to help Mongolia to export honey products
A team of an European Union project “Support to the Modernization of Mongolia's Standardization System” has worked in Selenge province on April 12-13. The team was composed of project team leader Henk De Pauw, expert Andre Francois and other members. Their mission of the Selenge working tour was to assist with exporting honey and honey products made in Selenge aimag to the European Union.

Art and writing contest held within Global Money Week
In compliance with the “Global Money Week”, the Ministry of Education, Culture,, Science and Sport along with Bank of Mongolia, President's Office, Mongolian Bankers Association, Deposit Insurance Corporation of Mongolia organized arts and writing contest on money management among children on April 14. Under the theme “Learn-save-earn”, the “World Money Week” took place between March 27 and April 2.   In the competition, a total of 620 works were submitted including 270 essays and 350 paintings.
