Foreign Ambassadors present credentials to Mongolian President

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On April 27, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Zambia to Mongolia Mrs. Winnie Natala Chibesakunda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to Mongolia Ms Anna Lindstedt, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to Mongolia Mr. Dusan Bella, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal to Mongolia Mr. Leela Mani Paudyal and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Namibia to Mongolia Dr. Elia George Kaiyamo presented their Letters of Credence to the President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj.
 
Following the credential presenting ceremony, President Elbegdorj welcomed the newly accredited Ambassadors. 

 
At the meeting with Ambassador of Zambia Mrs. Winnie Natala Chibesakunda, President Elbegdorj noted that the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries was founded and Mongolia already accepted it in 2009 and expressed hope that the Government of Zambia will also accept. 

 
Then, President Elbegdorj received Ambassador of Sweden Ms Anna Lindstedt and noted that Mongolia gives great importance to the development of bilateral relations with Sweden. He expressed Mongolia’s interest to bring the Swedish environment-friendly green technology to the country’s industrial sphere. Many Mongolians live and study in Sweden. Mongolian side had proposed to open its cultural center in Stockholm where the children of Mongolian residents in Sweden would be able to study their own native language and culture and organize public events for Mongolians. 
 

During the meeting with Ambassador of Slovakia Mr. Dusan Bella, President Elbegdorj noted that Mongolia has always maintained traditional friendly relations with the countries of the European Union, in particularly with Slovakia. I am glad that the Economic Cooperation Agreement between Mongolia and Slovakia is now ready to be signed. 
 

At the meeting with Ambassador of Nepal Mr. Leela Mani Paudyal, President Elbegdorj noted that this year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. He expressed Mongolia’s interest to expand this traditional relationship, which was connected by history, culture and religion, in agriculture and tourism. 
 

Afterwards, President Elbegdorj welcomed the Ambassador of Namibia Dr. Elia George Kaiyamo and noted that the both countries share many similarities. For instance, the both countries have almost the same population, mineral and agricultural sector. He also mentioned that both countries tourism sphere has the opportunity to play important role in the economy. 
 
Concluding the meeting, President Elbegdorj said that the Office of the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will work to support the Ambassadors’ mission in Mongolia.
