“American Days 2019” displays over hundred brands from US

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The American Chamber of Commerce Mongolia (AmCham Mongolia) and US Embassy in Mongolia co-organized the fifth annual 2019 American Days Expo on August 24 and 25 at the Misheel Expo in Ulaanbaatar. The fair is organized every year to showcase US products and services to the public and to introduce the capacity of US companies in Mongolia that are offering world-leading expertise and technology. This year, the event featured more than 60 exhibitors, who displayed hundreds of US products and services for two days. Besides presentations of participating companies and entertainment programs, the US Embassy in Mongolia delivered information about US visa and to study in the US.
The opening ceremony held on August 24 was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia D.Tsogtbaatar, US Ambassador to Mongolia Michael S. Klecheski and Vice Chairman of the Board of Director of the AmCham Mongolia Gary Biondo. In his opening remarks of the exhibition, US Ambassador to Mongolia Michael S. Klecheski noted that this event is being held following the recent visit of the Mongolian President Kh.Battulga to Mongolia.
Minister D.Tsogtbaatar said “The level of partnership between Mongolia and US reached to its highest level during the President’s visit to the US. The crucial component of the bilateral relations is certainly economic cooperation. The trade turnover of Mongolia and the US of last year increased by almost 40 percent. However, it is still lower than the volume of 2012. Therefore, we have much to do in this connection. The American Days event, hosted by the AmCham Mongolia, allows the exhibitors not only to display their goods and services, but also gives them the opportunity to find new business partners.”
