Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Cabinet at its meeting on December 18 made a decision to re-establish the Public Procurement Agency.
According to a government resolution issued on July 27, 2016, the Public
Procurement Agency was dissolved into the Government Agency for Policy Coordination
on State Property. However, the Cabinet concluded
that the action caused a disruption in the operation of the independent specialized
body in charge of major national and regional procurements.
When ministries,
government agencies, and other state organizations were held responsible for procurements in addition to their key tasks, it led to delays in investments and
construction activities, increased costs, and wasted time.
