Athletes of 193 countries to gather in Mongolia for International Youth Green Games 2020

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia is to host the International Youth Green Games on September 13-20 in Ulaanbaatar city under the auspices of the President of Mongolia and UNESCO within the UN Sustainable Development Goals-2030. The Games will bring together athletes aged up to 18 from 193 UN member countries. 


In this regard, Mongolia is constructing some facilities such as the football arena, the Water Sports Centre, Steppe Arena as well as others.


The sports program is composed of archery, athletics, basketball 5×5 and 3×3, chess, climbing, cricket, e-sports, fencing, football, jujitsu, judo, kurash, sambo, shooting, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, and wrestling. There will be other categories incorporated into the sports program: Paralympic – athletics and basketball; Special Olympics – chess and fencing; Deaflympics – judo and volleyball.
