Cold to ease throughout the country

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The cold is expected to ease in most parts of the country in recent days, reported the National Agency of Meteorology and Environment.
Slight snowfall is expected in northern parts of western aimags on March 14, in northern parts of central aimags on March 15, and in eastern parts of central aimags and some parts of eastern aimags on March 16.
Wind speed will reach 12-14 m/sec in the Gobi and plains on March 14, and in some parts of the country on March 15 and 16.
With the cold easing in most parts of the country, in the depression of Lake Uvs and Darkhad, in the head of Zavkhan river, and in the basins of Ider and Tes rivers, the temperature will range from -19 to -24 degrees Celsius during the night, and -5 to -10 during the day.
In mountainous areas of Khangai, Khuvsgul, and Khentei, near Khurenbelchir, in the basins of Eg-Uur, Tuul, Terelj, Kherlen, Onon, Ulz, and Khalkh rivers, the temperature will be -14 to -19 during the night, and 0 to -5 during the day.
In the southern Gobi region, the temperature will be 0 to -5 during the night, and +11 to +16 during the day.
In other areas, the night-time temperature will be -6 to -11 degrees Celsius, and daytime temperature will be +3 to +8 degrees Celsius.
