Slight snow and strong winds expected in most parts of the country

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Slight snow is expected near the Altai Mountains today and in the southeastern parts of Gobi aimags tonight on February 22. Strong winds are also expected in most parts of the country.
Snow and blizzards are expected in northern parts of western and central aimags on February 23, in northeastern parts of central aimags and northern parts of eastern aimags on February 24, and western parts of the western region on February 25.
Wind speed will be 7-12 m/sec during most times, reaching 16-18 m/sec in some areas of western aimags on February 25.
With slight temperatures drops in the eastern region on February 22 and 23, in the depression of Uvs lake and Darkhad, in the head of Zavkhan river, and in the basins of Ider, Tes, Baidrag and Yuruu rivers, the temperature will range from -25 to -30 degrees Celsius during the night, and -12 to -17 during the day.
In the mountainous areas of Khangai, Khuvsgul, and Khentei, in the basins of Eg, Uur, Orkhon, Selenge, Kharaa, Yuruu, Kherlen, Onon, Ulz, and Khalkh rivers, the temperature will be -18 to -23 during the night, and -5 to -10 during the day.
In regions of the country with little snow as well as the southern parts of the Gobi region, the night-time temperature will be -3 to -8 degrees Celsius, and daytime temperature will be +1 to +6 degrees Celsius.
In other areas, temperatures are expected to be -12 to -17 during the night, and -2 to -7 during the day.
