Higher temperatures expected in most parts of the country

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Hotter days are ahead for most parts of the country, reports the National Agency of Meteorology and Environment.

 

Showers and thunderstorms are expected in some parts of western and central aimags today on June 21, in western parts of western aimags and some parts of central aimags on June 22, and in the northern region of the country on June 23. 

 

Wind speed will be 13-15 m/sec in mountainous areas from June 21 to 23.

 

With warmer temperatures in most parts of the country, in the mountainous areas of Altai, Khangai, Khuvsgul, and Khentii, in the head of Zavkhan, near Khurenbelchir, and in the basins of Baidrag, Terelj, Kherlen, Onon, and Ulz rivers, the temperature will range from +3 to +8 degrees Celsius during the night, and +13 to +18 during the day.

 

In the depression of the Great Lakes, and in the southern Gobi region, the night-time temperature will be +16 to +21 degrees Celsius, and the daytime temperature will be +28 to +33 degrees Celsius.

 

In other areas, temperatures are expected to be +9 to +14 during the night, and +23 to +28 during the day.
