Number of job seekers in registration
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The number of job seekers registered in the employment organization stood at 49.1 thousand late January of 2016, 25.9 thousand of them were women.
Some 34 thousand of the total job seekers are still unemployed, which indicates a 1.2 thousand decline or 3.3% against the same period of 2015, but 1.8 thousand or 5.5% increase against the previous month (December). Moreover, 18.5 thousand or 53.4% of the registered unemployed were women.
In January of 2016, employment sections at provinces and the capital city registered 8.9 thousand unemployed. One thousand registered got new jobs, 6.1 thousand have been deleted from the registration due to their not showing an attempt to find a job.
Some 46% of the registered unemployed have secondary education, 29.4%--higher education diplomas, 6.7%--vocational training certificates, 6.4%--certificates of special secondary education, 2.4%--primary education level, 1.1%--degrees of PhD and master, and 1.1%--no educational certificates.
Nationwide, 61.5% of the registered unemployed were people of 15-34 years. This indicator higher by 0.6-12.1 units of the national in Orkhon, Omnogobi, Sukhbaatar, Gobi-Altai, Gobisumber, Dundgobi, Tov, Khovd, Dornod, Selenge, Bayan-Olgii, Dornogobi, Bayankhongor, Arkhangai, Khovsgol and Khentii aimags.
