Project of 1000 temporary housing units to commence soon

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On April 19, G.Munhkbayar, Minister of Construction and Urban Development met with Cao Zhiang, Secretary of Economy and Commerce of the Asia Division of the Department of Foreign Assistance of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China. During the meeting, the Mongolian Minister touched on a subject to launch a project to build 1000 temporary housing units with non-refundable aid from the Chinese Government. 
Works regarding construction, infrastructure system including heating and electricity and design were completed by the Mongolian side. "As financial issues have already been solved at a government level of the two countries, it’s already time to commence the project now. Since the project is to be implemented within the framework of the project that aims to be environmentally friendly, we are focusing on the quality and promptness of the project. This project is quite slower compared to other ADB projects I am responsible for. Therefore, I would like to start the project as soon as possible" said Minister G.Munkhbayar at the meeting.
In turn, Mr. Cao Zhiang highlighted that the Chinese side is looking forward to speed up the progress of the project by sending a consulting company to Mongolia in May”.
