National Blood Transfusion Center achieves ISO 9001:2016 standard

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The National Blood Transfusion and Research Center has achieved ISO 9001:2016- Quality management system standard on October 27. The center worked constantly for its goal to implement the standard since 2014 and had taken preliminary audit by SFCS company last September.

15 works had been done following the nine recommendations given during the preliminary audit and this time the center has been confirmed as having successfully implemented the quality management system.

“We have strived hard to implement the ISO 9001:2016 standard for three years and happy that we achieved the goal. Our center also got the ISO MNS 15189:2015 and extended it for another four years. Our vision is to become one of leading center in blood transfusion in Asia. Achievement of the ISO 9001:2016 standard is one step toward fulfilling our vision. We will work to sustain the level and improve further,” said center director N.Erdenebayar.

ISO 9001 is the world’s most widely recognized quality management standard and it provides guidance and tools for companies and organizations who want to ensure that their products and services consistently meet customer’s requirements and that quality is consistently improved.
