Public sector management officials attending leadership symposium

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Canada-funded MERIT project in collaboration with the Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC) and the Academy of Management is organizing a Public Sector Leadership Symposium on January 22-26 in Red Rock hotel in Terelj.

The Symposium aims to improve management and leadership skills and competencies of senior public sector managers and provide them with key concepts and best practices required to effectively manage the public sector.

Senior public sector managers from central and local level partner public sector organizations including the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Mineral Resources and Petroleum Authority of Mongolia, Dornod, Tuv, Sukhbaatar and Dundgobi Aimags, Institute of Geography and Geoecology and General Taxation Authority of Mongolia are participating in the leadership symposium.

The MERIT project is funded by the Government of Canada and implemented by two Canadian non-government organizations; WUSC and CESO. The project works with various central and local level public sector institutions to improve their internal capacity to better manage Mongolia’s natural resources.
