Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ “As of 2017, the implementation of the 2016-2020 Action Plan of Government runs at 44.6 percent, said G.Zandanshatar, head of the Cabinet Secretariat, at the meeting of Parliament’s Standing Committee on State Structure on April 18.

With a purpose to overcome economic difficulty, stabilize economy and satisfy economic sustainable growth, the Government is successfully implementing the Extended Fund Facility arrangement of the International Monetary Fund. Moreover, state-owned companies operated with net profit of MNT859 billion in 2017, thanks to some measures, including eliminating unproductive spendings of public organization, ending all bearable expenditures, decreasing salaries of directors of the state-owned companies and digitalizing tenders more openly.

G.Zandanshatar also mentioned some effective measures conducted within the social policy. For instance, retirement pensions of 394.2 thousand people were raised in correlation with inflation levels. The interest rate on the loan of retirement pension was reduced from 18 percent into 15 percent per annum. A national program ‘Paid mothers’ started being conducted. Mothers who are caring children aged 0-3 years are given MNT50 thousand per month.

In addition, there were 34 general educational schools with three-shift schooling in Ulaanbaatar in 2016. By the end of 2017, the number dropped into 20. In 2018, constructional works of 99 schools, 19 dormitories and 127 kindergartens with state budget and foreign assistance are under progress. By doing so, three-shift schooling will be entirely eliminated in academic year of 2019-2020.
