NCHR chairman meets Ambassador of Sweden

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Chairperson of the National Commission of Human Rights (NCHR) J. Byambadorj received Ambassador of Sweden Ms Anna Lindstedt on April 18.
Ambassador of Sweden Ms Anna Lindstedt expressed her hopes that Mongolia will not restore the capital punishment. In return, the officials of the NCHR expressed that they have the same opinion with Ms Anna Lindstedt.
The NCHR gave information on its activities in direction of protecting human rights and supporting it, specifically NCHR's closely cooperation with civil-society organizations by conducting independent and joint researches and examinations.
At the end of the meeting, the NCHR gave report that most of the suggestions given by the Kingdom of Sweden to the Mongolian Government during the Universal Periodic Review-2015 have being realized.
