Steering committee meeting of ‘Cooperative Technical and Vocational Education and Training’ held

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On August 23, 2022 the steering
committee meeting of ‘Cooperative Technical and Vocational Education and
Training’ (cTVET) was held at Ministry of Education and Science, members agreed
on the operational plan of the project to implement until the end of 2023.
The cTVET project supports the selected TVET institutions to
evolve into specialized, multi-functional capacity development centres /CDC/,
establishment of TVET teacher pre and in-service training system and advise on
creating regulatory framework for CDC quality management, financing mechanism.
The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of Embassy of the Federal
Republic of Germany Ms. Regina Rutenberg, the state secretary of MEDS Ms. L.
Tsedevsuren, Deputy Country Director of KOICA Mongolia Ms. Kang Jongrye,
private sector representative and relevant officials attended the meeting.
In the meeting, cTVET project’s results achieved in 2021 was
presented and operational plan for 2022 and 2023 supporting the education
sector policy was reviewed and approved by steering committee members.
The cTVET project was commissioned by the BMZ, co-financed
by KOICA and implemented by GIZ in close cooperation with MEDS.
