Buryat Artists Demonstrate Their Talents in Ulaanbaatar

Ulaanbaatar, October 30, 2023 /MONTSAME/. The Buryat delegation led by the Head of the Republic of Buryatia of the Russian Federation, Alexey Tsydenov, attended a regular Meeting of the Mongolian-Russian Inter-Governmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation. The Buryat delegation also took part in the Opening Ceremony of a concert dedicated to the “Days of Mongolian-Russian Friendship-2023” at the Central Cultural Palace of Mongolia on October 23, 2023.
The Buriat National Song and Dance Ensemble “Baikal” and the artists of the Folk
Song and Dance Theater “Zabava” performed their best work for the Mongolian
audience. In her opening speech, Buryatia's Minister of Culture, S.B. Dagaeva,
pointed out that the artists of Buryatia have become renowned in the Russian
Federation and abroad for their contemporary performances that combine folk
songs and dances with modern styles.
Dancers
from the Buryat State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, named after People's
Artist of the USSR G. Tsydinjapov, staged their performances of “Beautiful
Angaria” and “Pink Waltz” from the ballet “The Nutcracker.” The theater's best
opera singers and symphony orchestra also performed for the Mongolian audience.
The Buryat State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater has a 90-year history and
has become a hallmark of Buryatia's classical art. Additionally, artists from
the Buryat Republic State Circus named after M. Japkhandaev presented the
circus show “Fairies.”
Buryatian artists are known for their contemporary performances that combine folk songs and dances with modern styles, not only in Russia but also around the world.
The
Concert featured soprano Galina Shoydogbaeva, a People's Artist of the Russian
Federation, accompanied by People's Artist of the Russian Federation Darima
Linkhovina. More than 170 Buryat artists and dancers performed at the Concert,
including People's Artist of the Republic of Buryatia Badma-Khanda Ayusheeva,
People's Artist of the Republic of Buryatia Namkhai Munkhzul, Honored Artist
Chingis Radnaev, singer Medegma Dorjieva, soprano Biligma Rinchinova, the
Contemporary Dance Theater “Angle of Vision,” the Folk Song and Dance Theater “Naadgai,”
and State Circus artists.
At the invitation of Tuv aimag
Governor D. Munkhbaatar, Buryat performers and artists took part in the opening
of the “Mongol Tuuragtan” Theater production season on the previous day. They
performed with the Mongolian Theater team and signed a Memorandum of
Understanding between the “Mongol Tuuragtan” Theater, named after twice
Laureate of the State Premium and People's Artist of Mongolia B. Damdinsuren,
and the Buryat Opera and Ballet Theater.
