“Beautiful Country of Mongolia” Performed in Istanbul, Türkiye

As part of the State Visit of President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa to the Republic of Türkiye, the “Beautiful Country of Mongolia” performance, which is the finest example of the cultural heritage and art of the peoples of the steppe, was played.
Opening the performance, Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Mongolia Nomin Chinbat remarked, "It is worth noting that in recent years, the relations between Mongolia and Türkiye have expanded based on the experience of ancient historical and traditional relations, and the mutual flow of people between the two countries increased. In this performance, the best works of Mongols and the Turkish people, as well as world classics are played in the Morin Khuur musical instrument, which is registered to UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. I am confident that the cultural relations between the two countries will be further enriched with bountiful content and the friendly cooperation between the peoples will expand."
Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye Serdar Cham noted, "I thoroughly believe that this cultural and art event will strengthen the historical ties, which began as neighborly relations over thousands of years, and contribute to preserving and promoting our common cultural heritage to the world."
The Concert, which was jointly performed by the Mongolian Philharmonic Morin Khuur Orchestra and artists from the Grand Theatre of National Arts of Mongolia (GTNA), was conducted by Honored Cultural Worker of Mongolia Tuvshinsaikhan Delgersaikhan. Dancers from the GTNA performed works that represent the culture of the Mongols including the "Khundetgeliin Bujig," "Tsombon Tuuraitai Khuren," "Altaiyn Magtaal," and "Salkhit Shuvuun." Also, musicians of the Morin Khuur Orchestra performed the Turkish folk song "Üsküdar'a Gider İken" in the Mongol style. The Concert was an expression of the cultural exchange between the two countries.
