Year-Round Children’s Camp to Be Established

Ulaanbaatar, May 07, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The National Council for Children of Mongolia headed by Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai convened on May 6, 2025.


Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Mongolia and Deputy Chairman of the National Council for Children Enkh-Amgalan Luvsantseren presented the decisions made at the National Council meeting during the regular session of the Cabinet of Mongolia on May 7, 2025. In connection with the presentation, relevant officials were instructed:


-To develop proposals for improving the spending and management of the Fund for Children and increasing its resources, and to submit these proposals for discussion at the next Cabinet session,

-To determine a comprehensive policy on child development and protection issues in connection with the declaration of 2026 as the “Year to Promote Education” by the Government of Mongolia, and to build children's camps that meet local and the regions’ characteristics and will operate in four seasons, in a phased manner;

-To determine the proper participation and cooperation mechanisms of participatory organizations in which children themselves take part and work together,

-To examine the causes and circumstances of crimes involving violence and sexual abuse against children, and to propose measures to eliminate them,

-To develop and present a draft Law on Supporting Families,

-To create conditions that ensure children's rights and enable the prompt provision of child protection services, and to address the vehicle needs of local child and family development organizations through the funding of state and local budget in 2025 and 2026,

-To take actions on establishing systems of prenatal care and early screening of children in kindergartens and schools, strengthen the hygiene and safety standards of kindergartens and schools, and intensify ongoing efforts in these areas.
