Mongolia Updates NDC to Cut Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 30 Percent by 2035
Mongolia aims to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 30.3 percent, or 24.7 million tonnes of CO₂ equivalent, by 2035, according to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change. The reduction goal is estimated to be achievable by 46.3 percent through improved land use, pasture management, and enhanced forest carbon sequestration, and up to 52.8 percent through the implementation of major emission mitigation measures with international financial and technological support.
