Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Opening it on Thursday, the Chairman of the State Great Khural (parliament) Z.Enkhbold reminded all that many events took place during the parliamentary sessions break, for example, parliament had run two irregular sessions, had solved several issues, had not resolved bills on crime and conflicts.

Moreover, parliament had accepted the President's veto over the law on amnesty, but one of the irregular sessions adjourned without making proper amendments to this law, "this will be done by the autumn session", he noted.

The Speaker went on that the autumn session will discuss and adopt the 2016 state budget and the same year’s budgets for the Social Insurance Fund (SIF) and the Human Development Fund (HDF) as well as a draft resolution on approving the 2016 basic guidelines for fiscal policy.

Only one spring session will run before the 2016 parliamentary election, "which means that it will coincide with the election preparation, so this autumn session is to become the most vital and responsible period for all MPs," he stressed.

Many bills, draft amendments and resolutions are expected to be discussed and passed by the autumn session, especially a draft amendment to the Constitution of Mongolia and a bill on elections must be adopted six months ahead of the next year’s parliamentary election, he said.

The Speaker urged the MPs to make efforts to resolve all these issues and wished them a success.
