Foreign Minister promotes investment into Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On June 12-13, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ts.Munkh-Orgil, who is paying an official visit to the United States, partook in the fourth annual US Trade Mission, organized by the American Chamber of Commerce, and Investors’ Roundtable Meeting.
Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil reported on Mongolia’s current economic situation, and the government’s actions in response to the economic crisis and policies directed at stabilizing the economy and supporting investment. He also briefed on Mongolia’s bilateral and multilateral dialogues, agreements and ongoing projects with inclusion of some of the concrete results yielded.
He also took questions, paying attention to existing challenges and problems pointed out by investors and businesses.
Also, the Foreign Minister met with Anabel Gonzalez, World Bank Senior Director for Trade and Competitiveness, exchanging views on ways to increase foreign direct investment and diversify the economy and opportunities to cooperate with the World Bank on introducing its expertise on bilateral agreements and dialogues Mongolia’s working to establish.
