Minister D.Tsogtbaatar meets Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar, the Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization(SCO) Rashid Alimov is paying a visit to Mongolia on March 28-29, 2018.
Today, R.Alimov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar and Minister of Road and Transport Development of Mongolia J.Bat-Erdene, giving information on the SCO and exchanged views on the cooperation development. They, also discussed future cooperation possibilities in infrastructure, transit transportation, energy and other sectors.
Today, R.Alimov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar and Minister of Road and Transport Development of Mongolia J.Bat-Erdene, giving information on the SCO and exchanged views on the cooperation development. They, also discussed future cooperation possibilities in infrastructure, transit transportation, energy and other sectors.
SCO General Secretary Rashid Alimov also met with the representatives of Mongolian scholars, specialists of ministries, students and delivered a lecture on prospects of the SCO and responded to questions. He will ,also give an interview to the Mongolian National Broadcaster.
The former SCO Secretary Generals visited Mongolia in 2007 and 2014 and this is the third visit of SCO Secretary General to Mongolia.
This year SCO summit will be held in China and the President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga is invited to participate.
Mongolia joined SCO in 2004 and has an observer state status.
