WHO teleconference of Western Pacific countries takes place

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Dr Takeshi Kasai, World Health Organization (WHO)’s Regional Director for the Western Pacific, on February 28, held a teleconference with heath ministers and authorities of the more than 10 regional countries to discuss the coronavirus situation.
During the event, Minister of Health D.Sarangerel informed of the precautions Mongolia is taking to prevent Covid-19 together with the challenges faced and ways used to overcome them.
A report and recommendations made by the joint team of WHO and the People’s Republic of China that worked in China for two weeks to ensure the country’s preparedness for a wider spread of the disease were also presented.
