Japanese Prime minister’s visit to Mongolia

On Thursday or on the 22nd of October, 2015 Prime Minister of Japan Mr.Shinzo Abe paid a working visit to Mongolia at the invitation of the President of Mongolia Mr Elbegdorj.

In scope of his four-hour visit, Mr Shinzo Abe met with the President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj at the President`s House located in Ikh Tenger Complex. During the meeting, the two parties have exchanged their views oon a broad range of issues concerning bilateral strategic cooperation. Although the meeting lasted for a short time , it was effective as they exchanged their views on many important issues.

During his visit, Japanese PM Shinzo Abe held official talks with Mongolia’s PM Mr Ch.Saikhanbileg and exchanged their views on escalating the implementation of economic partnership agreement established between the two countries. They also talked about a credit support from Japan, boosting small and middle-sized productions and realizing a two-phase project on environment protection. After holding official talks two Prime ministers have made joint statement for journalists.

In scope of Japanese Prime Minister`s visit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr L.Purevsuren and Japanese Ambassador to Mongolia Mr T.Shimizu have signed an intergovernmental Memorandum on cooperating in joint project on constructing eastern branch railway in Tavan tolgoi and on related infrastructure.

During his visit Japanese Prime minister met with the Chairman of the State Great Hural Mr.Z.Enkhbold and exchanged their views on Economic Partnership Agreement between Mongolia and Japan as well as on inter-parliamentary cooperation.
