Performance of ‘Altain Magtaal’ and ‘Naran Khuvguun Khaan’ tuuli takes place

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On February 10, the performance of a heroic tuuli (epic) took place at the State Ceremonial Ger on the occasion of the Year of the Water Tiger according to the lunar calendar.
People’s Teacher, Head of the National Council of Language Policy S.Dulam did a brief introduction of the telling of Mongol tuuli (Mongolian epics) as well as about the ‘Naran Khuvguun Khaan’ tuuli that was performed.
Fourth-generation epic teller, Honored Cultural Figure E.Baatarjav and ninth-generation epic teller, Honored Cultural Figure A.Baldandorj performed ‘Altain Magtaal’ and ‘Naran Khuvguun Khaan’.
After praising the Altai and Khangai mountains as customary prior to a Mongol tuuli performance, the two epic tellers performed ‘Naran Khuvguun Khaan’ through which they wish for peace and tranquility, pleasant weather conditions, and for people and livestock to grow and increase in numbers.
The performance was attended by President of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh, Speaker of the State Great Khural G.Zandanshatar, and Prime Minister of Mongolia L.Oyun-Erdene.
In aims of paying respect to the form of cultural heritage that has been passed down for many generations and promoting them, a decree was issued by the President of Mongolia on January 29, 2019.
