Customs Automated Information System Launched
EconomyUlaanbaatar, December 8, 2023 /MONTSAME. As part of the electronic reforms, the Mongolian Customs General Administration (MCGA) is implementing the "Regional Project to Improve Border Services". Customs Automated Information System (CAIS) has replaced the outdated system.
With the introduction
of the new CAIS, 13 online services for the public and 33 online
services for enterprises are available online. Deputy Head of the Main Customs
Administration Enkhtaivan Gelegjamts emphasized that the MCGA has pioneered
among state organizations, including special government organizations, offering
online services for citizens and enterprises.
Enterprises and citizens can choose an efficient and convenient import clearance through CAIS, skipping an intermediary organization. The process of clearance not only saves time and costs, but also eliminates bureaucracy and subjectivity.
"Our company has
been using the CAIS system since 2019. As a result, starting from 2022, through
the customs electronic services portal www.gaali.mn, all operations are
available on the electronic system, and customers can pay duties using the
system. The only time you need to come to the customs control zone is to
receive goods. Now citizens and enterprises can receive a full range of online
services on gaali. mn. using their electronic signatures. Since last year, the
system has been working smoothly, and 110 thousand users regularly receive
services online." said O. Enkhmunkh, Executive Director of Astvision LLC.
Citizens and
enterprises can use the CAIS system to:
• Submit all types of
customs declarations
