Four Mongolian Basketball Teams to Compete in the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Chengdu

Ulaanbaatar, May 1, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The 2025 season of FIBA 3x3 basketball kicked off in Utsunomiya, Japan. The second leg of the tournament, organized by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), will be held in Chengdu, People’s Republic of China, on May 3–4, 2025.


A total prize pool of USD 132,000 has been announced for the Chengdu tournament, with Mongolia represented by the teams “Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy” and “Bayankhairkhan Mig.” Moreover, the 2025 season of the women’s 3x3 tournament will also begin in Chengdu, featuring participation from Mongolia’s “Ulaanbaatar Amazons” and “Mongolia” teams.


“Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy” has been placed in Group C alongside “Sagamihara” of Japan and “Raudondvaris Hoptrans” of Lithuania. The team roster includes Delgernyam Davaasambuu, Enkhbaatar Onolbaatar, Dulguun Gankhuyag, and Dulguun Enkhbat.


Team “Bayankhairkhan Mig” will compete in the qualification round for a spot in Group D, facing “Yokohama” of Japan and “Vračar” of Serbia. In the event of a successful outcome, “Bayankhairkhan Mig” will advance to the group stage. The team "Bayankhairkhan Mig" consists of players Altangerel Batsaikhan, Avirmed Lkhagvaa, Baasandorj Munkhtur, and Chinguun Uuganbayar.

In the women’s series, “Ulaanbaatar Amazons” leads Group B and will take on the national team of the Philippines and Thailand’s “Bangkok CT.” The “Ulaanbaatar Amazons” includes Khulan Onolbaatar, Bulbul Murat, Nandinkhusel Nyamjav, and Ariuntsetseg Bat-Erdene. Meanwhile, the National Women’s Team of Mongolia, competing under the name “Mongolia,” is placed in Group C and will face China and Kazakhstan. Team members are Tserenlkham Munkhsaikhan, Bolortsetseg Tsendjav, Enkhtuul Bazargurev, and Narangoo Erdenebayan.
