At the meeting, Mongolia secured the right to host the Asian Individual Chess Championships in 2026. In other words, for the first time in its 70-year history, the Asian Adult Chess Championship will be held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, next year. This will allow Mongolian chess players to compete against grandmasters from countries including the Russian Federation, the People’s Republic of China, and the Republic of India, giving them a valuable opportunity to gain global recognition.
Notably, the Mongolian Chess Federation’s successful organization of the Asian 3.3 Zonal Championship helped pave the way for securing the hosting rights of next year’s Asian Individual Chess Championships.
