Mongolian National Team Playmaker Nandinkhusel Joins Florida’s “Panthers”

Ulaanbaatar, July 2, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Florida Institute of Technology’s “Florida Tech Panthers” team, which competes in NCAA Division II, has announced the addition of Nandinkhusel Nyamjav, the playmaker of Mongolia’s national 3x3 basketball team and silver medalist of the 3x3 FIBA Basketball World Cup.


With this, N. Nandinkhusel becomes the first Mongolian female athlete to compete in the U.S. collegiate basketball league.


In a statement, Head Coach Ashley Raley-Ross noted, “We are pleased to announce the addition of playmaker Nandinkhusel to our team. She is a floor leader who plays with heart and high basketball IQ and fits the culture of Florida Tech. She recently led the Mongolian 3x3 national team to the silver medal at the World Championship. She will bring her international competition experience to our team. Nandinkhusel’s international experience and passion for basketball will transform our team on and off the court. We are not only adding a skilled playmaker but also someone who will enhance our program and community.”


The women’s basketball team of Florida Institute of Technology has competed nine times in the NCAA Division II tournaments, winning six Sunshine State Conference championships, four SSC tournament championships, one NCAA Division II South Region championship, and ranking among the top eight teams of Division II in 2002.
