Master budget statistics for January
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In January 2016, total balanced revenue and grants of the General Government Budget (GGB) amounted to 335.2 billion Togrog, total expenditure and net lending--to 415.0 billion, representing a deficit of 79.8 billion, reports the State Registration and Statistics Office.
Compared to the same period of the previous year, tax revenue decreased MNT 17.5 billion or 5.5 percent due to decreases of MN 60.0 billion or 68.9 percent in other taxes, of 12.6 billion or 25.2 percent in income tax revenue, of 10.1 billion or 39.9 percent in enterprises income tax, and of MNT 2.4 billion or 9.9 percent in individual income tax.
However, excise tax revenue increased by 19.4 billion Togrog or 65.2 percent, social security contributions--by MNT 16.6 billion or 23.6 percent. A value-added tax revenue went up by MNT 13.2 billion or 20.7 percent against the same period of 2015.
Total expenditure and net lending of the Master Budget reached MNT 415.0 billion, increasing MNT 48.6 billion or 13.3 percent compared to January of 2015. This reflected an increases of MNT 81.6 billion or 7.4 percent in current expenditure, and of MNT 41.7 billion or 31.4 percent in current transfers, although there were decreases of MNT 53.1 billion or 75.4 percent in capital expenditure against the same period of the previous year.
