Prime Minister works in Sukhbaatar and Khentii aimags
During the last weekend, Prime Minister of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh worked in Khentii aimag to present about the government activities with goals to ensure domestic supply of petroleum and oil products and healthy food products and develop infrastructure, processing factory, digital system and intensive livestock and farming industries. In particular, the Prime Minister mentioned that a leather and hide processing factories as well as copper smelting, copper concentrating and steel plants will be built and commissioned in the coming few years.

Prime Minister of Mongolia worked in Delger and Esonbulag soums of Gobi-Altai aimag on October 8. After attending the launch ceremony of the new 126.7 km paved road from Baidrag bridge in Bayankhongor aimag to Delger soum of Gobi-Altai aimag, the Prime Minister held a meeting with local residents in Altai soum, Gobi-Altai aimag to introduce government action plan for the next 4 years and social and economic policies. He then presented 8 most pressing issues that need to be tackled in the future 4-18 years, as determined by the government.

Mongolia's UN envoy addresses UN General Assembly's Second Committee
The Economic and Financial Committee (Second Committee) of the General Assembly at its seventy-fifth session kicked off on October 5, to deal with issues relating to economic growth and development such as macroeconomic policy questions; financing for development; sustainable development; human settlements; globalization and interdependence; eradication of poverty; operational activities for development; agriculture development, food security and nutrition; information and communications technologies for development; and towards global partnerships. The Second Committee is also considering issues relating to groups of countries in special situations.

126-km paved road commissioned, connecting Gobi-Altai to Bayankhongor aimag
A new 126.7 km-long auto road connecting Altai city of Gobi-Altai aimag with Bayankhongor city of Bayankhongor aimag has been commissioned with an opening ceremony held today, October 8. Prime Minister of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh took part in the ceremony and delivered an address.

30-day fuel consumption to be stockpiled for 2021
At its today’s meeting, the cabinet set the amount of fuel reserves to be stockpiled by 24 petroleum companies for 2021. The 24 fuel retailers will have to hold a fuel reserve equal 30 days of average domestic consumption, which totals about 120,350 tons.

More than 100 companies take part in MCA-Mongolia procurement public outreach event
On October 2, Millennium Challenge Account Mongolia (MCA-Mongolia) in cooperation with Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) organized an event to inform local firms and entities about the projects being implemented under the Mongolia Water Compact and planned international construction tenders and procurement opportunities under these projects. Representatives from over 100 private entities took part in the event.
