Mongolia’s women team qualified for quarters of FIBA 3x3 U-23 World

MCC Water Compact with USD 350 million investment introduced

In September 2018, Government of Mongolia and Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), an independent US government agency signed USD 350 million MCC Water Compact aimed at improving water supply of Ulaanbaatar city. This is the second MCC Compact to be implemented in Mongolia. On October 4, Millennium Challenge Account – Mongolia (MCA Mongolia), program implementing agency, organized an event to introduce the Water Compact.
Parliament discusses 2018 state budget performances
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. At its plenary session on October 4, Parliament approved equilibrated revenue of 2018 state budget performance at MNT 6.8 trillion and equilibrated expenditure at MNT 7.1 trillion.
Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots projects to Mongolia equal to USD 370 million

Modernized payment system enables direct transfer of Government payments and allowances

Bank of Mongolia in cooperation with the Asian Development Bank has implemented a low-value payment system modernization project, which allows the monthly Child Money benefits to be paid directly through an automatic bank transfer by the State Fund, in lieu of the Bank of Mongolia.
MNT 180 billion budgeted for pay raise of civil servants next year

When drafting state budgets for the next year, which has been currently under discussion by parliament, the government has budgeted around MNT 180 billion for the salary increase of the civil service employees or public servants. Minister of Labor and Social Protection S.Chinzorig underlined that the salary raise rate will be increased in coordination with inflation rate.

Rio Tinto to partner with National University of Mongolia
