Social Insurance fund revenue reached MNT 2.5 trillion
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. According to the General Authority for Health Insurance and General Authority for Social Insurance, social insurance fund’s revenue reached MNT 2.5 trillion in the first 11 months of 2019, reflecting an increase of MNT 378.7 billion or 17.9% compared to the same period of the previous year. The fund’s expenditure was MNT 2.3 trillion, showing an increase of MNT 361.8 billion or 18.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.

‘Kremlin New Year’ celebration event arrives in Ulaanbaatar after 30 years
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Russian New Year celebration event, or so-called ‘Kremlin New Year’ in Ulaanbaatar is to be resumed after 30-year halt, as reported by the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Ulaanbaatar. More than 150 artists from Mongolia will perform at the celebration event to be organized at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Ulaanbaatar.

One shaft of Asgat silver deposit opened up
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. A special license of exploitation of the Asgat silver deposit has been transferred to Erdenes Mongol LLC state owned company upon the government resolution of 16 January 2019. Now the company has been working to put the deposit into economic circulation, launching the collection of sampling and technical renovation works  in cooperation with the Mongolian emergency management officers.

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On the day of National Pride, Mongolian rock band The Hu was awarded the Order of Chinggis Khaan by the decree of the President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga. Founder and producer of band B.Dashdondog received the Order of Chinggis Khaan from the Mongolian President on November 26.

Emergency Management Agency working to open Asgat silver deposit
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In the past two months, officers of the Bayan-Ulgii aimag regional emergency management service and mining rescue unit of the National Emergency Management Agency of Mongolia (NEMA) have been working at the Asgat silver deposit in the northwestern part of Mongolia with the purpose of opening the deposit for further development and preparation of 20-ton technological sampling to send to international laboratories.

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Annual nationwide livestock census of this year is ongoing. The nationwide livestock census of 2018 found that there are around 66.5 million livestock animals nationwide, showing an increase of 241.2 thousand heads of livestock compared to the previous year.

Drivers protest five-time rise in road tax
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Last week, a decision has been made at the Ulaanbaatar city’s Citizens’ Representative Khural to increase annual road tax in Ulaanbaatar city by five times, imposing owners of vehicles to pay road tax from MNT 100 thousand to MNT 350 thousand each year depending on the type of vehicle motors, size and impact on the environment starting January 1, 2020.
