CPI increases due to added educational fees

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The industrial production index (seasonally adjusted) in November of 2015, was 127.6 (2010=100). This indicates a 10.0 percent decrease against the previous month, of 7.7 percent against the beginning of the year and that of 5.1 percent over the same period of 2014.

Productions of crude oil, copper concentrate, molybdenum with concentrate and gold increased by 15.6-31.6 percent, and production of goods such as fodder, felt, sawn wood, sausages, beer, pure water, books, railway sleepers, combed down cashmere, soft drinks, camel wool blankets, cathode copper increased 0.3 percent to 7.2 times compared to the same period of the previous year.

However, the mining products such as coal, zinc concentrate, fluorspar concentrate, iron ore, broken or crashed stone decreased by 2.1-46.0 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. In the manufacturing sector, productions of cement, carpet, iron concrete, milk, buuz and dumpling, bakery products, spirit, bread, vacuum windows and doors, cigarettes, metal steel, metal foundries, electric wire and steel casting decreased 0.9-64.9 percent, reports the National Statistics Office.

In November of 2015, the national consumer price index increased by 0.2 percent from the end of October and by 2.1 percent from the beginning of the year and by 2.9 percent over the same period of 2014.

The increase from the beginning of 2015 mainly reflected an increase of 62.8 percent in education.
