Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ “The Shortness of Life: A Mongolian Lament”, a novel by Martina Nicolls, has been inspired by her works in Mongolia in 2010, when an epidemic flu hits Ulaanbaatar and most of the country, according to her blog post.

It was the longest, bleakest winter on record, she writes. Published by Archway Publishing, the novel is available through the publisher or atAmazon and Barnes & Noble.

Martina Nicolls is an Australian national and an independent consultant and aid worker in developing countries, primarily in post-conflict countries and those with transitional governments, but also in countries requesting technical assistance in peace building, education, health, governance, child labour, or evaluations.

She is also the author of Liberia’s Deadest Ends (2012), Bardot’s Comet (2011), Kashmir on a Knife-Edge (2010) and The Sudan Curse (2009).
