Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ N.Batbayar MP Thursday submitted to the Speaker Z.Enkhbold a draft new wording of the law on public referendum.

The draft amendment was passed to parliament on November 6 of 2015 but MPs considered that it needs to be completely renewed, reflecting their proposals, after which it has been worked out with 24 articles in six chapters, said Batbayar. The new version says that the public referendum is to be organized to decide whether or not to amend the Constitution, and also has other matters which could not been resolved by parliament. "If any issue could not be tackled at three meetings of parliamentary session, despite discussions of the Standing committee, this issue should be resolved through the referendum," N.Batbayar said.

He added that the draft new version also has proposals from the General Election Commission.
