“U.S. congressmen to visit Mongolia”
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Chairman of the State Great Khural Z.Enkhbold received Tuesday Jennifer Zimdahl Galt, the US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Mongolia.
Thanking the Speaker for the audience, the US Ambassador informed that some US Congress members along with commercial and business delegates engaged in agricultural productions will visit Mongolia soon through the House Democracy Partnership (HDP).
Cooperation between the Mongolian Parliament and the House Democracy Partnership has been succeeding since 2006, noted the Speaker and said he is pleased to welcome US Congress members. The visit of the US congressmen will contribute to expanding the bilateral relations and cooperation, he hoped.
Enkhbold said the State Great Khural is focusing on strengthening the good governance and combating corruption, and is interested in targeting cooperation with USA at this direction.
The sides also exchanged views on the agreement on transparency. The Mongolian side is working on making this agreement in force, the Speaker said.
