Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A joint exhibition of the Union of Mongolian Artists prize laureate, State Foremost Artist, sculptor A.Ochirbold and State Foremost Artist, painter Ts.Gan-Erdene opened at the Headquarters of the United Nations (UN) in New York on September 4.

The works of the exhibition titled ‘At the moment’ depict the moment of life in stillness as a scene from the film. The paintings and sculptures placed together in the same space, forming one object and giving opportunity to feel the atmosphere of the moment.

A statue ‘Consciousness’ by A.Ochirbold is placed near the UN Headquarters. It’s remarkable that the idea of the artwork is reflected in the exhibition, creating a complex concept that illustrates the relation between human consciousness and society. “Every person was born the same way, but we are constantly changing under the influence of the social, political and natural, especially material factors of the social development. Our lives are like particles, but the consciousness will last forever. It is an interesting exhibition that reveals the consciousness and social dependence of human being,” the artists noted.

A.Ochirbold is one of the few Mongolian artists working at international platform. A monument of Mongolian horses by Ochirbat is placed in Moscow as the attribute of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. Artist Ts.Gan-Erdene is a graduate of the Munster Academy of Art. He is known in the West with his unique way of depicting people in the parallel universe through water reflection.
