Mongolian Parliamentary Delegation Visits South Korea

Ulaanbaatar, December 17, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Led by Chairman Bat-Erdene Bat-Ulzii, a delegation of the Mongolia-Republic of Korea Parliamentary Group in the State Great Khural of Mongolia is paying an official visit to the Republic of Korea on December 14-18, 2025.
As part of the visit, the delegation met with Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Joo Ho-young on December 15. At the meeting, Chairman Bat-Erdene noted that before they visited South Korea, representatives of the Mongolia-Republic of Korea Parliamentary Group had met with Korean citizens residing in Mongolia to hear their opinions. He stressed the importance of resolving legal and other issues facing citizens in both countries at the parliamentary level.

Furthermore, during the meeting, Deputy Speaker Joo Ho-young
concurred on the need for mutual support at the parliamentary level to ensure
close cooperation between the two nations in the key sectors of energy,
rare-earth metals, education, science and technology, employment, and business.
The visit includes meetings with representatives from all these sectors.
In the conclusion, MP Bat-Erdene highlighted the recent inauguration
of the Mongolia-Korea Joint Rare Metals Research Center, which is being
implemented under the official development assistance of the Government of the Republic of Korea. He
emphasized that this project serves as a concrete example of the strategic
partnership between the two countries and marks an important beginning for
cooperation in the rare-earth metals sector.
