Minister Ts.Tsogzolmaa signs agreement with aimag governors

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Ts.Tsogzolmaa held a meeting with the governors of 21 aimags to conclude the work that has been done in 2018 and to sign agreements for 2019.
The Minister highlighted that while 2018 was declared as the year of teacher development by the ministry, 2019 has been declared as the year of improving the academic achievement of each student, and then introduced the works that have been done on the policy level in the sectors of education, culture, science and sports, such as increasing the salary by 8-36 percent, adding ‘Health’ to the list of subjects for the programme of general education schools, introducing the technology that instantly grades general exam papers and making the process of granting government scholarships transparent.
She highlighted that 2018 was the year with the largest investments and the most number of new constructions for the educational sector in Mongolian history. Not only were 320 projects implemented, but also the construction work of 29 kindergartens and 14 general education schools were completed with the state budget.
The construction of a total of 137 kindergartens, 57 general education schools are planned to be completed in 2019.
