Light rain expected on Children’s Day

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Light rain is expected in the mountainous areas of Altai and Khangai today on May 30.
Rain is expected in the northern parts of western aimags on May 31, in some parts of the western and central aimags on June 1, in central and eastern aimags on June 2, and in the eastern parts of western aimags and some parts of central aimags on June 3, with wet snow expected in mountainous regions.
Wind speed will reach 13-15 m/sec in the Altai Mountains on May 31, in some parts of the country on June 1 and in the gobi and plains on June 2.
Although warm weather is expected in the eastern part of the country on May 31, temperature will drop in most parts of the country afterwards. In mountainous areas of Altai, Khangai, Khuvsgul and Khentei, in the basins of Ider, Tes, Tuul and Terelj rivers, the night-time temperature will range from -63 to +2 degrees Celsius, and the daytime temperature will be +8 to +13.
In the southern parts of the Gobi region and the plains, the temperature will be +9 to +14 during the night, and +21 to +26 during the day.
In other areas, the nighttime temperature will be +2 to +7 degrees Celsius, and daytime temperature will be +14 to +19 degrees Celsius.
