Cold to ease throughout the country from today

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Stable weather is expected in most parts of the country in the next few days.
Light snowfall is expected in some parts of western, central, and eastern aimags on February 6, and in the mountainous area of Khangai on February 7. Wind speed will reach 13-15 m/sec in some parts of the country on February 8 and 9.
With the cold easing in most parts of the country, in the depression of Darkhad, in the head of Zavkhan river, in the basins of Ider, Tes, and Baidrag rivers, the temperature will range from -29 to -34 degrees Celsius during the night, and -19 to -24 during the day.
In the depression of Lake Uvs, in mountainous areas of Khangai, Khuvsgul, and Khentei, near Khurenbelchir, in the basins of Eg-Uur, Orkhon-Selenge, Kharaa, Yuruu, Tuul, Terelj, Kherlen, Onon, Ulz, and Khalkh rivers, the temperature will be -24 to -29 during the night, and -12 to -17 during the day.
In the southern Gobi region, the temperature will be -11 to -16 during the night, and -2 to +3 during the day.
In other areas, the night-time temperature will be -18 to -23 degrees Celsius, and daytime temperature will be -4 to -9 degrees Celsius.
