Mongolian Ambassador to Belgium meets Secretary General of World Customs Organization

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. H.E. Mr. O.Och, Ambassador of Mongolia to the Kingdom of Belgium held a courtesy meeting with the Secretary General of the World Customs Organization (WCO) H.E. Mr. Kunio Mikuriya on June 8, 2021. 


During the meeting, the two sides noted with satisfaction the expanding cooperation and relationship between Mongolia and the WCO during the last 30 years of collaboration and exchanged views about future cooperation. 


The parties discussed about the current situation of the pandemic and the progress on vaccination against COVID19. Ambassador O.Och emphasized both party’s achievements in successfully implementing customs modernization, technical assistance on coordinated border management, risk management and capacity building programmes in Mongolia. 


H.E. Mr. K.Mikuriya noted his satisfaction with Mongolia’s progress in customs modernization and expressed his commitment to continuing collaborating further with Mongolia for technical assistance and human resources programmes. At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed about digitalization and assistance in trade and economic development of landlocked and developing countries.
