B.Khongorzul to face U.S. wrestler in bronze medal match

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On August 5, IM B.Khongorzul stepped onto the mat for a repechage match in the women’s 57 kg weight class. She faced off against bronze medalist of 2019 African Championships Fatoumata Camara of Guinea, winning by technical superiority with a score of 10:0.
Shortly after the start of the match, the Mongolian athlete was able to take down her opponent at the edge of the mat, claiming 4 points. She was then able to get behind the Guinean athlete to get 2 points, and followed it up by a decisive move to turn her opponent, which put her in the lead by 10 points.
For her next match, the 20-year-old Mongolian athlete will be facing off against Helen Maroulis of the United States for the bronze medal tonight.
In the previous matches, Khongorzul won against Mathilde Riviere of France by 7:2 in the first match, and was defeated by Olympics champion, three-time world champion Risako Kawai of Japan
